Wowza, NYC was a whirlwind! Between catching a few li'l shows (Hello, Dolly! with Bernadette Peters, Norm Lewis's penultimate performance in Once on this Island, The Parisian Woman -- for which I won the lottery!, to name a few), seeing tons of old friends, a few meetings and workshops here and there, and uh... oh, yeah, performing that little chestnut of a showcase with those beautiful artists I'm lucky enough to call my class, too... I had a wonderful, wonderful time.
While I'm posting, I thought now was as good a time as any to finally publish what I'm looking forward to this summer: I will be returning to Marietta Summer Theatre Festival in Marietta, Ohio, to perform as Benny Southstreet in Guys & Dolls and Fabian in Twelfth Night!
Je suis trés extatique to spend this summer working along with some wonderful people. I don't know French, so if that's wrong... sue Google Translate, I guess?
Oh, and while you're here, I thought it only polite that I should inform you that season nine of The Real Housewives of New York City is now available for streaming on Hulu, and season ten premiers in a week on Bravo. Gotta keep up. Speaking of, I did walk by Sonja Morgan's townhouse in the city.
And. it. was. magical.
Until next time, fair reader, adieu -- and thank you for the memories, NYC. See y'all real soon.
I have the following to offer as a postscript: The title of this post is meant to be read in a Bernadette-Peters-as-the-Witch voice, and if you didn't get that, I'm not sure if we can be friends anymore...
